Statistics

GCSE Statistics

Exam Board: Edexcel

GCSE Statistics is tiered.  Students will have been informed whether they will be sitting the foundation or higher tier.

The course is examined by two exams, each of 90 minutes at the end of year 11.  Students are allowed to use a scientific calculator for both papers.

The whole of the statistics course will be examined across both papers. Any topic can appear on either paper.

Students can use their revision guides and workbooks which have been provided for revision. Revise how to complete the work in the revision guide and then test yourself with questions from the workbook.

(Students copies may look slightly different to those above as the covers have changed but the content is the same.)

Students have a separate CGP revision guide which they are completing topics from on a weekly basis as part of their homework throughout year 11.

For further revision resources and past papers to practice, students can visit the following websites:

www.mathsgenie.co.uk

www.sparxmaths.uk

Students have a Google Classroom for Statistics where there is a complete revision section containing revision materials on the whole course, divided into the 8 units that have been completed during the course.

Practice papers can be collected from the maths corridor from January.
