Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish – KS3 and 4)

September 2022

Permanent, Full-time

Cantell School is a very special place for students to learn and staff to work. We are proud to be a ‘founding’ member of the Aspire Community Trust – a group of 9 cross-phase schools that work together to create an aspirational learning journey for our children aged between 4 and 16.

We are a popular and oversubscribed school and are seeking to strengthen our existing dedicated and passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Team.

At Cantell, languages are an important part of our community. As you walk through the corridors, you will see and hear over 60 different languages being spoken by our students and staff. We have created a curriculum which allows students to develop their linguistic knowledge and skills whilst learning about the culture of French and Spanish-speaking countries and communities. We want all our students to gain the skills and confidence to be able to communicate with native speakers and make new friends all over the world!

The Languages team at Cantell have become my extended family.  We are a small team but a supportive team.  I love Cantell School, in fact I love it so much that after leaving for a short period of time I was delighted to be able to have the opportunity to return. – Languages Teacher 2022

Cantell is a happy, thriving and successful school, and proud to be a true comprehensive.

Relationships between staff, students, their families and the wider community are excellent and contribute to the overall success of the school. We have the highest expectations from our students and they have the highest expectations from us. In this way we create a culture of responsibility and respect.

“I am so proud to work at Cantell. I believe that in our school students and staff are a family. This shows itself from top to bottom and is an ethos created and shared by a devoted Headteacher. Structures and systems support this ethos. The students are provided with so many opportunities to enrich their lives. I am always moved by the kindness that is so prevalent in our community”. – Staff Survey Response – March 2022
