Leadership

Choosing to do the right thing at the right time and inspiring others around you to do the same.

Organisation

Good organisation is being able to identify what you need to do, how you will do it and checking you get it done.

Resilience

Bounce back ability. The ability to recover from or adjust to change.

Initiative

Communication

Research in the last decade has begun to focus on the relationship between independent learning and student achievement, and has shown a clear positive correlation, resulting in improvement, particularly for students at secondary school.

Innovation

A new idea or method.

We are passionate about developing individuals who are brave enough to think out of the box and come up with new ideas to solve problems. This should prepare them for life beyond education in an uncertain world.

Entrepreneurship

Using a new idea to respond to a need and solve a problem to the benefit of yourself and others around you.

We want students to become Entrepreneurs who use their innovations to benefit themselves and the world we live in.

EMPOWER sessions are delivered by staff and outside speakers through a mixture of live streamed and pre-recorded sessions. The EMPOWER sessions are paired with activities that are created to promote the development and the use of the key skills through self-reflection and evaluation. The EMPOWER Booklet serves as a record of achievement which pupils can refer to during interviews as they transition to the next phase of their lives. activities include SMART goal setting, personal SWOT analysis and a series of Project based activities which are centred around problem-solving and honing in their EMPOWER Skills. re are a plethora of opportunities in and around school for staff for staff to celebrate and encourage our pupils as they develop these vital Life Skills.
