What better way to finish the week than with cake? 🍰
Today we treated our Professional Services and Cleaning Teams to some delicious cakes from The Whimsical Kitchen , as a little thank you for everything they do for Cantell.
There is so much work that goes into every school day that many people never see, and these teams are a huge part of making it all happen. Thank you for everything you do - we hope you enjoyed the treats! 💙

🎓 This week our Year 10 students have been getting a taste of college life!
Students visited Barton Peveril Sixth Form College, Richard Taunton Sixth Form College and Eastleigh College for their Taster Days, exploring the campuses, meeting new people and trying out subjects they may be considering for their Post-16 options.
It’s a great chance to see what college life is really like and start thinking about what might come next after Cantell 💙

🎤 “Oracy should not be selective. It should be for everyone.”
Today our Year 7 student Muhammed welcomed Dr Paradine, CEO of Voice 21, and Mrs Auckburally from Mount Pleasant Junior School to Cantell.
Muhammed prepared and delivered his own presentation about the importance of Oracy, sharing examples of his previous speeches, projects and posters from both Mount Pleasant and Cantell. He spoke about his own experience and how being able to communicate has helped him: “Oracy opened many doors for me.”
Speaking four languages himself, Muhammed explained why Oracy matters for children from every culture and background. His message was simple and powerful: every single child should have the opportunity to find and use their voice.
Muhammed also spoke about the support he has received at Cantell from Mr Kutty and Mrs Foster, and the opportunities he has had to contribute his ideas and become involved in leadership.
Dr Paradine and Mrs Auckburally was impressed by Muhammed’s initiative and everything he has already achieved. We are so proud of Muhammed and all that he continues to achieve!
Seeing him share his experiences, ideas and passion with others is something very special - what a brilliant example to others! 💙👏
