From the beginning of human existence, people have been fascinated by ultimate questions such as ‘Does God exist?’, ‘Is there life after death?’, ‘What is the meaning of life?’, ‘What is the right thing to do?’. Religious Studies gives students the time and space to think through their own answers, with reference to religious teachings and practices.

At the beginning of year 7 Students will study an introductory unit, ‘Who is God?’ then move on to study Sikhism followed by a unit on Inspirational Individuals.

Ultimate questions are not easy to answer and the course requires high level thinking skills. The problem solving skills we develop are transferrable to all walks of life from Medicine and Law, to Business. Religious Studies is valued by Cantell students of all backgroupnds backgrounds and viewpoints (religious or non-religious).’
